A free billing app is enough for one counter. It is not enough when a second till, or a website, has to sell the same stock.
VyaparNext POS Lite is free offline billing software. Create an account, download it for Windows, macOS, or Android, and bill on the computer you already use. There is no monthly fee for that one device, and the sale does not wait for Wi-Fi.
What stays on the device
Staff can add products and variants, import a CSV, print barcodes, record a purchase, hold a bill and resume it, apply one tax rate and a discount, take cash, and record Google Pay or PhonePe on the bill. A return, a receipt, and the day’s report stay on that device. Stock goes up when you purchase and down when you sell.
The printed bill is a tax invoice: shop name, items, and total, at one tax rate. It does not file a GST return, and it does not print a GSTIN, an HSN code, or a CGST and SGST split. If that filing is the job you need done, this is the wrong tool.
When the free app stops being enough
One counter can live on POS Lite forever. The bills are already saved there.
Add Cloud Sync at ₹299 a month when a second phone, tablet, or computer should see those bills. Sync runs about every hour, for up to three devices, and keeps seven daily snapshots in India time. Stock is recalculated from sales and purchases. If the same product was edited on two devices, you choose which edit to keep.
Add Commerce, at ₹35,000 setup and ₹1,800 a month, when the website should sell the same sizes and colours the cashier just sold. POS Lite alone does not host that website.
A short way to decide
Use the free app if the shop has one counter and the bill has to finish during an outage. Add sync when a second device appears. Add the hosted store when an online order should take the same stock.
Pricing is on the pricing page. Garment tags and size stock are on the clothing POS page. The outage drill is in what to check when the internet drops.
